A must tool

This is one of the neatest tools that ever came down the pike. Solid construction, and easy to use. Do-it-yourselfers shouldn't be without one.

Excellent idea poorly executed

I had a wrench of this pattern made by Chapman Tool Company in the 1970's and it was one of my all-time top favorites. The locking lever not only took out the slack inherent in an adjustable wrench, it held the wrench on the nut freeing my hands to grab another wrench or to manipulate the work. I was very sorry to lose the Chapman Tiger-lock overboard and I was delighted to see Stanley offering one, and bought it without hesitation.
I was disappointed to see the Stanley version is made in China and the fit of the working parts is marginal, but it does work and it will be going into my Daily Favorites toolbag in spite of its chunkiness. The finish is good and the jaws will open for a 1-1/4" nut. The price is reasonable. If it were made to the standards of Klein or Channellok I would have paid twice as much--cheerfully! |

Great tool, wouldn't be without it now. It is well built and does its job.
